Like last year, I’m hosting ArmadilloCon’s F.A.C.T Flash Fiction Contest! We’re looking for 1000-word, speculative fiction stories that include the prompt word “tundra.” Entries will be accepted through midnight on March 31. The contest is open to any workshop student member of ArmadilloCon 2017 through 2025. If you paid a registration fee but were unable to attend, you’re still welcome to join the contest.
Contest winners will be announced, and a reading of winning entries will take place, on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 7pm via Zoom. There will also be prizes. What prizes? Sur-prizes!
Submit your writing here! More contest details are available here.
Many thanks to our sponsors, Mike Marotta and Space Squid! I’m grateful to both for their support and involvement with F.A.C.T, ArmadilloCon and this flash fiction contest! If you love writing short fiction, check out Space Squid’s laugh out loud, in-person fast fiction contest at ArmadilloCon this September!
NOTE: Some of the language from this post was cowritten with Shlomi Harif and Jennifer Juday.
